About Me

I am originally from Broken Bow.  I attended college at UNK and studied Secondary Education while also playing softball for UNK.  I graduated in 2013 and started my teaching in Houston Texas at Elsik High School. Came back to Nebraska to teach in Mullen. Moved to Holdrege where my husband is the 6th grade science teacher. I subbed for year and also was a para for a year. I even was able to work at the First State Bank at Holdrege as a teller then a bookeeper. I've had great experiences in Holdrege, but am very excited for my opportunity to teach in Loomis! This is my 6th year teaching.

I currently live in Holdrege with my husband and three daughters.  Bethany is in 2nd grade, Madalyn is in Kindergarten, and Brynlee was born May 20th of this year so she is in daycare.

My oldest, Bethany, and my youngest, Brynlee, have something called Angelman Syndrome. It has to do with the mutation/deletion of the 15th chromosome, gene UBE3A. Angels typically have developmental delays, seizures, a happy demeanor, sleep problems, lack of speech, and balance issues. If you ever see my oldest, she always has such a big smile on her face! She's very friendly and loves hugs. We are hopeful for Brynlee because she is already so different than how Bethany was.
